Sample at the "Ohio vs Michigan Beer & Mead" tasting on 11/28/2015. Dark walnut color with a medium beige head and nice lacing. The aroma has a light smoke character, along with sweet malt and hops. Medium-bodied with a nice oak undertone. There is a nice mixture of toasted malt, smoke, bourbon and muted hops. The finish is rather short and mildly sweet. Above average overall.
