Bottle from Craft Clapham. Light golden, slightly cloudy colour, white fluffy head, looks a bit like a Bons Voeux. Aroma is initially grainy, bit of cream, fruity, apples and a touch of lemon, belgian yeastiness, bubblegum. Taste is good and gets better. Nice graininess, bit of sweetness, vanilla, nice and fruity too, strawberries and cream. Sips are alternately, dry grainy and slightly bitter and then fruity sweet. Nice stuff.

Bottle shared at the Cafe Abseits tasting during the Bamberg Excursion. Big thanks to Fergus! Pours cloudy gold-yellow with a foamy white topping. Very nice beer. Some pleasant poopy brett notes. Great balance. Light sweetness. Light to medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Light brett in the finish, mild sweet wheat, further poo notes. Good funky saison.

On tap @ Erzbierschof. Hazy golden color with big white head and nice lacing. Funk, lemon, hay. Taste is sweet-fruity, a hint of funk and tartness, and a not even that dry finish with a bit of cookie dough/bread. Carbonation is smooth, silky mouthfeel. Nice, but I would have liked it a bit drier and a bit tarter.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a very fine creamy head. Aroma is tart and yeasty with sour lemony hops. Not too complex, but still very nice. Full creamy body with average carbonation. Flavour is tart with yeast and notes of wood, as well as sour fruit and brett giving a lingering dry and sour finish.

Bottle, 75cl. A gusher, ending up with an unclear, orange body under a small, off-white head leaving some lacings. The aroma is quite funky and farmhouse-ish, with apricot, clementine, leather notes and a peppery touch. Medium body, soft carbonation at a high level. Quite dry, but with some residual sweetness. Apricot, grapes, pepper, resins and some clementine. A bit low on bitterness. Funky, fruity finish with a tad too much sweetness. Well, I’m not convinced, but it’s a bit sweet. 140608
