New England Style Session IPA

A small wonder to behold, with all of the hop flavors and aromas and coming in at only 4.9% ABV. Some people would call it a session IPA but they would be wrong because that makes no sense. It's a low alcohol double IPA or maybe an imperial table beer or an American lager that uses ale yeast and 10 times the hops as normal. This beer is stupid good. Hops used: Magnum, Cascade, Zythos, Simcoe, Columbus.

12 ounce can from Niemuth’s, 4/2/22. Murky orange, large foamy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of astringent hops, kinda olivey, some dank and grapefruit. Taste is grapefruit, tangerine, vanilla, pale malt. Old, canned 6/30/20. Not used to old beers from Niemuth’s. So, probably a one off. Still good.

Very frothy, sudsy, hazy appearance. The aromas are cereal, fresh tropical fruit and citrus hops. Flavors are like nose, a little more sweet than tart, low bitter decent carbonation. Body is a touch then and watery. not bad but I've never been a fan of session IPAs.

Can picked up from Beer Gonzo Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry and consumed in Frank at Lenggries Mountain Camping, Boxing Day 2019 cooking Mousakka and listening to Martin Freeman, Decades on 6Music. Pours hazy yellowy gold with a white head, big billowing frothy white head. Nice beer, fruity a little bit of sweet sherbet, soft mouthfeel, really good, lemony, this is very good.

473ml can. Murky, yellow-ish, orange juice-like colour with average, frothy to creamy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of passion fruit, mango, guava, pineapple, zesty, bitter hints of orange. Taste is dry, bitter, tropical fruity hoppy, slightly diluted notes of passion fruit, mango, guava, pineapple, orange, orange zest, oaty and wheaty basis, minimally papery and metallic overtones; prickly carbonation. Very nice.

Can 1 pint. Cloudy opaque, pineapple juice with a smallish, white head. Massive tropical hop melange in the nose - and even here I get some pineapple. Medium body, kinda sweet fruitiness, I guess the lactose is playing in this field. Rather subdued bitterness. 240419 8/3/7/3/14
