New England Style Session IPA

A small wonder to behold, with all of the hop flavors and aromas and coming in at only 4.9% ABV. Some people would call it a session IPA but they would be wrong because that makes no sense. It's a low alcohol double IPA or maybe an imperial table beer or an American lager that uses ale yeast and 10 times the hops as normal. This beer is stupid good. Hops used: Magnum, Cascade, Zythos, Simcoe, Columbus.

Can, from City Hops. Pours cloudy, almost murky brownish dark yellow with large foamy off-white head, citrus aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter citrus-mango taste, bit of stinky cheese flavor, thin body, longish finish. Quite mellow and easy to drink.

16oz can pours a hazy, pineapple gold with some white head that faded fast. Nose of lemon and passion fruit, white grape and pineapple, orange and tangerine, grasses, hand soap. Flavor is nice, a tamed down juice bomb, pineapple, orange, perfume, passion fruit juice. Finishes medium bodied. Easy drinker.

On tap at Ferguson, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank earthy hops, some pine and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is dry and punchy, with lots of dank piney hops, earthy notes and crisp biscuity malt. Loads of depth, with a wonderful balance between dank hops and dry biscuity malt. Excellent.

Pour is a milky looking blonde with a large white head. Aroma is a nice pine hop but there is also a nice honey malt. Flavor is another low profile hop with some lemon-lime notes. The malt is dry but very chewy and thick. This was a pretty good hoppy session beer. It probably helps that the canned on date is under 3 weeks ago. I could drink a lot of this on a warm summer day and not get tired of it.
