Bottle. Clear deep amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Malty aroma of caramel, toasted bread, toffee. Some overripe fruit and alcohol also in the nose. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium, watery texture, lively carbonation. Big alcohol finish. Thin body for a Scotch ale of this abv.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark amber with a medium head. Sweet with caramel, light roasted malt, some fruit. A bit anonymous to be honest.

8.2% ABV
Brown color, clean, with compact head. Light aroma, some caramel and an impression of bread. Correct body strength; lean mouthfeel; some caramel flavor and correct bitterness.
Just a boring Imperial Amber Ale. This beer didn’t capture the essence of anything.

Bottle from Whole Foods, Sarasota @ Rooie Dop brewdungeon. Clear copper colour, thin off-white head. Nose is caramel malts, light hoppy, toffee. Flavour is caramel, light hoppy, bit of candied sugar. Slightly dry and sweet finish.

bottle - Pours dark amber with small suspended yeast particles and a one finger, lasting light tan head. The aroma includes caramel and a touch of dark fruit. It’s sweet with caramel and a nice smoky character. Quite tasty.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ Fastelavn Smagning - Carnival Tasting, Ulfborg ]. [ As Smuttynose Scotch Style Ale ].Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, spicy, dusty malt, light caramel, light malt extract. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140301]

Bomber bought @ Systembolaget. Slow gusher. Pours dark brown with a rather big frothy brownish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is malty and fruity with old dry dark bread, raisin bran, caramelized apples, oatmeal, biscuits, smoke and hay. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity with toasted cereal, sweet dark bread, oatmeal, biscuits, caramel, red apples, baked pears, moist soil, red berries, liquorice root, caraway, smoke, wood and hay. Mouthfeel is soft, creamy, round and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity with biscuits, caramelized apples, alcohol, oatmeal, hay, wood, red berries, smoke and hints of toffee. Was rather turned off by the old bread smell but taste and mouthfeel really makes up for it.

Bottled:
Eye: Brown with a small but thick head.
Nose: malt, onions, viol.
Mouth:Smooth and round.
Tongue: Sweet malt, peat, chocolate, toffee, alcohol, hoppy finish.
Brain:OK, a bit unbalanced.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Hazed dark amber with moderate light beige spotting come edgework. Nose is toffee, yasty twang, dark stoned fruit, spice. Taste comprises toffee, brown sugars, dark malts, dark fruits, light biscuit crumble, earthy pangs. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. So so as you come to expect from this non style!
