Bottle picked up from the brewery online and consumed at home Attenkirchen Sunday 20th October 2019 after a 28mile return cycle ride to Urban Chestnut Brewery, Wolnzach. Now at home cooking Rancho Riojano and listening to the new Pixies album - Beneath the Eyrie. Pours conker brown with a light beige head, nice sweetness, a little molasses, malty, bloody good, wow this doesn't taste 8.7%. really good.

Big ol bottle. Red amber, golden cream. Dry roast, good juicy malt base, plenty of smoke as we all love it from Pax, Fullbodied, chewy juicy, salt caramel and peanut. Dry finish, with a very fitting herbal hop counterpart. Dangerously drinkable, Great stuff.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle. The beer is a clear amber-mahogany color with a medium thick light beige head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, fruit and hops. Medium body with a smoky malt character and notes of dark fruit and mild earthy hops. The finish is charred malt and raisin. Above average overall.

Bottle. Clear reddish-amber color with big creamy tan head. Aroma is slight ham, hint of salt. Taste is ham, salty, some caramely malts, with a full body. Natural carbonation. Extremely drinkable for 8.7%. A very tasty and harmonious Doppelbock, with a nice saltiness that becomes a bit overwhelming after a few sips. I like!
