Bottle @ Haderslebener beer tasting. Small head with short duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, , bourbon, vanilla and has a nice long coffee finish.

(2022) (bottle) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; aroma of coconut, chocolate liqueur, alcohol; somewhat creamy palate; rich, balanced flavour with a long, medium bitter sweet finish

2022 bottle - black pour - cinnamon up front in the nose, followed by coffee, leather, dark fruit, oak, coconut - semi oily texture - approach is sweet chocolate, followed by warming spices, cinnamon, then strong but not abrasive coffee - a lot of dark fruit, vinous notes, leather, cherry skins, bourbon, oak - really smooth for a bourbon-aged beer of such strength - coffee integration is nice, as well - tasty - makes me want to revisit my original rating of the base beer (which I did not like at the time).

Poured from 650mL bottle (2022 vintage). Dark brown with beige head. Coffee and lots of cinnamon spice. Nice if you enjoy spice bombs.

Pours an almost black body and a light brown dense head with fair retention. Aroma's of bourbon, cinnamon and subtle coffee. Retronasal: sweet, cinnamon, bourbon, coffee, light red fruit, all well balanced. Flavour is moderate sweet with some roasty bitterness. Above medium bodied. Alcohol is warming but not too sharp. Long finish with cinnamon, light roasty bitter. Very nice!
