Reddish to brown pour, depending on light, quite clear. Relatively big off-white, large bubbled head. Good enough retention and lacing. Fair intensity in the aroma: caramel malts with a quite distinct honey presence, delicate underlying notes of brown/rye bread with it's hint of spiciness, perhaps a fruity hint (nothing clearly discernible). A soft, quite clean aroma. Taste notes follow the aroma pretty closely, with good taste definition and intensity. Medium sweetness, quite low bitterness. Quite sweet in the overall balance, even for a dunkel, but still well balanced overall, with a clean mouth and a dryish enough finish. A hint of fruitiness lingers in the aftertaste. Quite light in body with pretty light, very delicate carbonation, resulting in a very smooth, slightly silky mouthfeel; goes down even easier than expected for the style, maybe almost too quick. Overall impression: very similar to their fastenbock (taste notes and silky character) though of course lighter. All in all, very much likeable.

Ein wunderbar aromatisches dunkles Exportbier, rotbraun, ansehnliche Schaumkrone, viel dunkles Malz, Karamell, leicht nussig und schokoladig, Röstmalze und Kaffee werden im Geschmack deutlich präsent, trocken mit leichter Süße, nicht zu stark karbonisiert, ziemlich süffig. Insgesamt ein richtig gutes Bier.

Аромат легкий, почти ничего нету, хотя это темный лагер, совсем легкие нотки от жареного солода и все. Цвет темно коричневый, пенка средняя. Вкус просто удручение. Есть странная кислинка а также отдает водой из под крана, есть прямо откровенно противные нотки от солода, при этом, мимолетно виднеются карамельные нотки от Мюнхенского стиля, но сразу же переходящие в кислинку на финише. В общем, не ожидал даже, супер слабо, даже с посторонками.

Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is brown malt, caramel, bread crust, hint of tobacco. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light to moderate bitterness. Body is medium. Super drinkable Dark Lager.

Dunkelbraune, rötliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht röstmalziger Geruch mit Karamell. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht röstmalzig, leicht brotig mit Karamell und etwas Kaffee. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
