Bottle. Pours unclear amber. Aroma is vegetables and earth. Body is medium, mostly bitter, still residual sweetness, but all really off and weird. No particular flavours. Not sure if this was just a terrible bottle?

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May 18. One of three Germsn lagers i brought out at the end of the night. Thanks kolshthinker for this! Pours gold, white head. Aroma is fairly sweet in its malty ways, continuing to a fairly sweet caramel / butter character. Quite balanced and drinkable. Excellent label artwork too!

500ml bottle on 29th May 2018. Cheers Mat for sharing this. I thought the bottle label was more interesting than the actual beer. Golden amber body, white crown, clear and clean looking. Sweet and malty aroma/taste, even my sweet tooth winced at first because the caramel was almost overpowering.

Mild malziger, würzig herber Beginn. Nicht störend trocken, dunkel malzig bleibend. Leicht steigende Süße, süffig, malziger werdend. Rund, mittellanger trockener Nachhall. 7/9/9/9/9/9

Bottle. Beautiful clear amber color with tan head. Aroma is buttered caramel, strawberries, some rural earthy flavours, seems like it’s going to be sweet. Taste is then surprisingly light-footed, with light notes of strawberry cream and caramel. Natural carbonation, Franconian softness. Quaffable and fun!

Bottle from Erlangernick, thanks Nick. Clear mid brown amber lasting beige head. A bit Marzen on the aroma. Malty. Some decent hop. Funny it’s not as sweet as some. It’s fine, quite drinkable. Easy drinking. Not much hop on finish but I like the malt.

Rated as "Annafest-Bier".
Test vom 16.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,9,9,12,10 - 9,85

Bottled as Hebendanz Annafestbier bought at Landbierparadies. Clear amber with no head and slight carbonation. Bready malt aroma with a slightly peppery edge. Easy drinking for the ABV, with some summers fruit sweetness, a touch of honey and suggestion of roastiness in the bitter, yet slightly perfumed finish. Good.

Bottle in Schlitz. Fairly clear, dark golden appearance with an off white head. Quite rich toasty, cracker, bready, straw noble hoppy aroma. Toasty cracker, light caramel, spicy flavor. Update: Tasted again at Annafest in a one liter maskrug and it’s absolutely fantastic. Great shit!
