A warming dark beer that’s perfect for the colder months. The rich malt base is layered with plums, cherries and blackcurrants, topped off with a sprinkling of cinnamon and lemon zest. The end result is a hearty beer packed with caramelised sugar, festive fruit flavours and a toasted finish.

Keg at BottleCraft, Hanley. Dark reddish brown (am I imaging the purple?) and translucent with a ring of beige head. Plum brandy and a touch of smoke in the aroma. Nice. Sweetish taste with plum sweets, milk chocolate, with a smoky/savoury edge. Vinous bitterness in the finish. Medium to heavy carbonation. An amazing plum porter with a boozy kick.
