(Bottle, 0.5 l, from a Sainsbury's, 20191015) The beer poured black. Its head was quite large, lightly brown it lasted fairly long. Aroma had milk chocolate, burnt malts and earth. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, milk chocolate, burnt malts, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, ash and bitterness. A decent burnt brew with too sweet nose.
Hotel beer when colleagues were too tired 😂

500ml bottle bought at a Sainsbury's store. Shared with Finn. Rocky fawn-coloured head leaving rich lacing on the glassware. Pitch black in the glass. Inviting smell of roasted malts, not overly sweet. Taste of dark chocolate malts, cocoa powder and ash. Fine roasted malty tail. Medium bodied. Likable. (Hotel room, Swansea 02.10.2018).

Flaske fra Sainsbury’s. Delt med Rune på rom 216 Premier Inn Swansea City Centre. Svart. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Aroma av røstet malt & sjokolade. Smaken balansert. Litt lakris. Mest røstet malt. Tørr avslutning. Bra stout.

Svart med fingerhøyt brunt skum. Lukter havre, kaffe og kakaopulver. Middels- i fylde. Smaker lett av salt lakris, kakao og lett kaffebitterhet.

Bottle. Nose dark malt, earth, hint of smoke, slight vanilla and coffee beans. Taste is slightly sour, leading to earth, stale coffee, nut toast, dark malt and a bitter coffee dregs finish. Smells good but the sour / bitter finish didn't work for me.

Taste: Dark malt, roasted, chocolate, slight coffee. Surprisingly nice.
