Inspired from the recent wave of pale ales, Dizzy uses Amarillo and Cascade hops from the USA combined with Tipple malt to make Dizzy refreshing and light.
Fresh, bright and full of zest, this straw coloured ale, with its' distinctive sharp character and a herbal or perfume like aroma. This light refreshing beer has a clean zesty hop dominated palate complemented by a crisp dry finish.

Nose is herbal and honey which fades quickly. Taste is light, cereal slight caramel and pronounced herbal. Finish is a tacky, bitter lemon with slight metallic note. Itโs a passable session beer with a poor finish. The school boy name and bottle design is obnoxious.

500ml bottle: best before the end of Oct 2013, poured into an โOld Speckled Henโ pint vase on 16 Mar 2013. It looked fine: light amber, almost lager-like in its clarity, on top a smooth head of white foam. Rising carbonisation bubbles could clearly be seen throughout the tasting and the head left some lacing as the beer level sank. Hops rule the nose: citrusy and spicy, floral notes too. The taste is a little to lemony/citrusy for me, with slight biscuity/toffee flavours: a lemon tart feel to the brew maybe. Refreshing but not my sort of thing. Body depth is Ok for a 3.8% brew and it is easy to drink, but Iโm a malts man and this doesnโt do it for me. Iโve complained and bleeted about citrusy golden brews in the UK for a couple of years now: this one is towards the upper end of my liking, the semi-sweet undertones have saved it from a crappy score.

Bottle from Morrisons, shared at home - golden pour with white head. Sweet pale bready malty, with some light lemon citrus fruity notes, straw, hay, medium to light body, medium carbonation, bitter hoppy close.

500ml bottle - the first thing that hit me when I cracked this was the aroma, a big whiff of grapefruit smack in the nose - very nice and a good start. The body is a clear pale straw colour, half a finger white head that is lasting while I type this, and little or no carbonation bubbles visible. Where that zestiness I can smell has gone is a mystery, a bit bland with a little bit of lingering on the aftertaste. The body lacks any substance... I feel a bit let down to be honest.

Cask@GBBF2012. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wooden, cellary, citrusy and mild earthyness as well. Flavour is floral, wooden, earthy, grassy and herbal with some mild bready notes.
