330ml bottle [#0062/2150]. Jet black colour, no real head, just a layer of macropore, beige bubbles on top. BA supported, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, minimally spicy and wood aroma, notes of dark chocolate, leather, some dark caramel, a touch of oak, whiffs of liquorice and marmite. Taste is roasty and chocolately, dark malty as well as slightly caramel malty without residual sweetness, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, BA supported hints of leather, oak.
Oily texture, smooth, soft and silky palate, fine, soft, still efficacious carbonation.
Mild, focussed, seemingly light - very nice.
Well matured after nine years, "still alive", no edges.

Black pour with a couple fingers of deep beige head. Roasted malts, bittersweet cocoa, figs, raisin, burnt coffee. Full, creamy body. Finish is long with dark fruit and bitter malt notes. Lovely.

Sampled at Moosburger Bierfest.
Darkest Brown to black, Brown cream, light dark chocolate roast nose. Rich chocolate ganache whisky flavors, quite balanced and drinkable, soft, creamy mouthfeel, nice!

At Moosburg festival. Dark brown. Raisin toffee sweetness, roasted, chocolate. Taste is bitter, full, chocolate. Soft and round. And I like it.

Optisch ein echter Genuss, tiefschwarz, cremiger Cappuccino-Schaum. In der Nase deutlich Bourbon, röstig. Im Trunk supercremig, Milchschokolade, Pralinen, dezent Bourbon, gefährlich süffig, unfassbar lecker.

Dark brown, small tan head with very fine bubbles. Amazing and smooth nose of bourbon/whisky and brown sugar. Salty, hint of soy, super dark roasted flavors. Vanilla, brown sugar, heavy earthy bitterness, moderate amount o' whisky flavors. Maybe a bit much salty soy for my taste.

Bottle. Super dark black, one of the darkest brown heads I've seen on a beer. Sweet oaky-whisky-nose, with a lot of cacao and roast notes. The flavor has a bit of soy, whisky, and quite some oak astringency. The alcohol from the cask really comes through, a tad too much perhaps. But very nice complexity with big bitterness and a lot of roasted malt.
