Keg at borefts. Pours deep brown, nose is roasted, caramel, liquorice, apple, taste is similar, sweet. 4

Tap at Borefts, 2019. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, herbal, floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with smooth, rich, mineral, roasty, red berry fruit, light boozy alcohol palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap @ BBF 2019. Deep dark brown color. Oak, hints of brett, caramel, soft roast, licorice in the matured aroma. Malty sweet flavor with raisin, oak, vanilla, bretty notes and calvados. Lovely balance.

Sampled at Borefts 2019, Saturday. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee. Taste of sweet dark strong roasted malt, coffee, bourbon.

Tap. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is calvados barrel, chocolate, leather, earthy. Taste is cherries, apples, chocolate, earthy. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Not sure the Calvados barrels helped, but it's a nice beer.

Borefts 2019 day 2. Black with tan head. Sweet and vinous red wine. Grapey and oakey. Moderate sweet and bitter. Full body and soft carbonation.

330ml can. Pours jet black with a medium head. Aroma is oily roast, tar and liquorice. Taste has oily tar throughout. A bit woody, not much barrel. Cola roast finish. Woody aftertaste.
