Where: From El Corte Ingles, had at the apartment in Spain.
Appearance: Unattractive hazy brown colour with a tan head.
Aroma: Malt, caramel, dried fruit, alcohol.
Body: Medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Malt, caramel, dried fruit, alcohol.

Bottle. Brown color. Aroma and taste: moderate sweetness (for the style), roasted malt, malty, hoppy, a lot of wine and oak shades, a rather complex beer.

Huge cream head, receding over dark opaque mahogany beer. Cake, whisky, chocolate, raisins, dark candi sugar, banana, liqueurish. Bitterish-woody and very obvious whisky in the mouth. Bit smokey, not turf. Again chocolate, liqueurish. Full bodied, very viscous, light alcoholburn. Soft carbonation. Quite good, no discussion. Txs to Stef!

Danke an Taboada. Süßlicher Geruch. Fast keine Karbonisierung, süßlich, wenig getreidig, wenig Alkohol. Noten von Eiche, mild hopfig, dann später malziger und deutlich hopfenbitter im Hintergrund. Süffig, vollmundig, unaufdringlich. Steigend holzig. Nett. 8/10/11/12/11/11

bottle from el corte ingles las palmas. clear brown small lt brown head. aro.a is nuts and malts flavor is malts fruits caramel and walnuts. tastes more like a belgian quad than a barley wine

Clear medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit - honey, resin, oak. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, resin, oak, caramel, honey - dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170304] 6-2-5-3-10

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy red brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, red fruit, light honey and heavy wood. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with a little alcohol. A bit weird. 040317

@Ulfborg Scooper. Clear amber, a few bubbles. Malty aroma light notes of wood. Flavour has wood, something like menthol candy. Weird.

Bottle, 9.5%. Clear brown with tiny beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, oak, dusty and oxidised. Flavour is malt, caramel, wood, oak, warming, sweet, notes of sourness, hop, toasted and medium bitter.
