500ml bottle from Mikkeller Beer Club. Pours oily black with a small tan head. Aroma: cocoa, vanilla, chocolate. Taste: heavy sweet & moderate bitter, rich, spicy dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bourbon barrel, liquorice. Medium to full body with low carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Tasty but glad it was split between 5 of us.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, some roast, caramel. Taste is umami, mild soy sauce, roast, dark chocolate. Oily mouthfeel with a hint of carbonation. Not the best of pastry.

BB . black color, very small coffee colored head. smells vanilla, cream, spices, chocolate, fudgy, very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of vanilla, nutty, peppery, chocolate, lightly boozy, some soy sauce, light coffee. finishes lightly sweet with notes of cream, vanilla and chocolate notes. very nice one, lovely chocolate and creamy notes, 8, 4, 8, 4, 18

500 ml bottle from MBC. Black body, with a small, tan head. Aroma of creamy dark chocolate, bourbon, cocoa, vanilla, some soy sauce, some tobacco, some dark fruits. Tastes similar, a bit boozy. Full, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes warm, roasty, moderate sweet, wooden, with dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, maybe hoppy-bitter, some bourbon. Tasty! Big and complex, with well integrated bourbon barrel and adjuncts. Alcohol is a bit noticeable, but not too overwhelming. Lovely sipper. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

500ml bottle. From MBC. Poured pitch black with a thin brown head. Sweet with nice amounts of vanilla and chocolate. Balanced sweetness, bourbon notes and malts. Warming long finish with vanilla and bourbon. Full bodied. Excellent. Oily and smooth mouthfeel.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, alcohol - bourbon, crackers. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, crackers, dark malt, sweet malt, rich. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20200629]
