(500mL bottle from Systembolaget) Typical cloudy medium yellow hefe from what I could see in dim light, fairly small white head for the style without lace. Aroma banana ester, yeasty spice notes, bit of bubblegum sweetness, touch of wheat grain. Flavour pretty by the numbers, moderate banana ester, slightly lemony citrus quality, wheaty, lightly sweet, touch of yeast spice, grainy on the finish and slightly bitter. Lighter body, sort of soft but soda pop-ish carb. An okay hefe but nothing to write home about, though this was hyped to me by a German I’d take a Weihenstephaner or Schneider any day.

Keg at Ölstugan 1892 Tullen Andra Långgatan, Göteborg, 23/03/14. Lightly hazed pale golden with a good sized off white covering that retains well. Nose is lemon rind, yeast notes, banoffee pie, spice. Taste comprises toffee, banana, clove, light yeast esters, faint citric tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Classic hefe notes all round, decent enough.

Sample at Olstugan, Andra Lang. Poured a hazy light straw with a broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast banana. The flavour is neutral grain with a gluey resin acidic palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice and crisp. Not too special though.

Geruch fruchtig-weizig.
Trotzdem ganz nett. Test vom 3.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,12,8,12,8 - 9,20

Nice banana & spice aroma, mostly cloves. Light cloudy gold, orange color with a wispy white head. A good classic hefeweizen flavor with fruits & spice & everything nice. Good stuff.
