I see the Lokalpatrioten have been busy here again: let's give this one a realistic rating. Pours to a light pale yellow, head disappearing to a couple of mm in a short period. Crisp hoppy predominantly pine nose. Citrus second with a touch of earthiness in the background. It has the usual piney spiciness that to some people suggests passionfruit and I get that too. Nicely rounded flavour profile. Pine in the mouth, some floral notes come through. There is of course passionfruit in there too but for me it's not a fruity / juicy beer. It has high drinkability which seems to be the main concern of the natives, but it's been done a 1000 times before. Competent but middle of the road.

Goldgelb und Opaltrüb mit feiner bis mittelgrober Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone fällt relativ rasch auf etwa 5 mm zusammen. Die Duftaromatik zeigt sich sehr frisch hopfenbetont mit Zitrusnoten von Orange, Mandarine und Zitrone. Ein Hauch Exotik schwingt dabei im Hintergrund mit. Der Antrunk kommt sehr frisch, sehr fein karbonisiert und süßlich-fruchtig-herb. Ein herrlicher Einstieg! Am Gaumen legt sich eine leichte Malzaromatik aus. Auf dieser tummeln sich die fruchtigen Hopfenaromen, die von einer breiten Zitrusaromatik bis hin zu leicht exotischen Noten reichen. Den süßlich-fruchtigen Noten wohnt eine angenehme Herbe mit leichter Kräuteraromatik bei. Diese sorgt dafür, das Profil tiefer, aber auch harmonischer wirken zu lassen. Das Gesamtbild zeigt sich auf jeden Fall sehr aromatisch und fruchtig, aber auch schlank und trocken. Das Mundgefühl zeigt sich zartrezent und leicht adstringierend. Absolut stimmig und dem Trinkverlauf entsprechend. Im Nachtrunk wirken die fruchtigen Hopfennoten lange nach. Erst nach einiger Zeit stellt sich eine immer deutlichere Bitternote mit angenehmer Kräuteraromatik ein, die Mund und Kehle trocken macht und so für den nächsten Schluck sorgt. Gemeinsam mit dem angenehmen Mundgefühl sorgt das für eine hohe Drinkability. Was will man noch viel dazu sagen? Ausgezeichnet!

33cl bottle from Getränke Winkler in Bernau am Chiemsee. F: medium, white, long lasting. C: gold, light hazy. A: malty, citrus, toast touch, floral. T: medium malty base, citrus, bready, bit pineapple, nice balanced bitterness, medium carbonation, good yet nothing exceptional, enjoyed.

Geruch fruchtig, hopfig, leicht süßlich. Die Süße spielt im Mund eine deutlich kleinere Rolle. Frucht bleibt dominant - Maracuja, Grapefruit, Mandarine. Der Hopfen liefert nicht nur Aroma, sondern vor allem auch viel „Bitterkeit“ - die aber nicht zu Verbitterung, Groll und (wenn man fleißig nachschüttet) Ernüchterung führt. Besonders im Endstück wird es allerdings etwas trocken. Ein Hauch zu viel und zu grobporige Kohlensäure.

Aromas are Super mild hop with some pale malt. Flavors are like nose again super mild hops with some malt, bitter sweet with good carbonation. Decent body and easy Bittersweet finish. Good drinking beer.
