Aroma of roasted grains. Frothy off-white head that soon thins. Taste is sweet with a light sour undertone that strengthens at the finish. A roasted bitterness lingers on the tongue afterwards. Medium body. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average to huge, frothy, moerately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Malty spicy, minimally nutty aroma, a touch of milk chocolate. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately and nutty dark malty, slightly roasty, a sour-ish malty touch as well, herbal-grassy hoppy overtones.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a slightly beige and medium-sized foamy head. Mildly toasted malty and delicately nutty aroma with traces of caramel and a whiff of chocolate and vanilla. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Moderately toasted malty taste with notes of caramel, chocolate, shades of hazelnuts and vanilla; quite lingering and rounded bitter-sweet, slightly earthy malty and delicately hop spicy finish. Good one. 05.I.18

Fläschla: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, unclear, bigger lacy and stable off-white head; moderate sweetishcaramelly and chocolatey nose with a mild rural and hoppy touch in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied and really soft; lingering drier bitter- chocolatey finish with some grassy hops in the aftertaste. An unexpected goody from a mediocre producer...

Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Tiefstes Goldbraun, kremiger Schaum.

Brown with little white head. Aroma is nuts, toffee, butter, some brown sugar. Not bad. Taste is good brown sugar sweetness with some uncanny sourness in the finish. Good body, not watery, quite drinkable. Not bad.
