It pours a viscous black color in the glass with a mocha-colored head. When poured cold, the flavor profile leads with chocolate wafer cookies, bourbon-vanilla heat, and rich dark chocolate. As it warms, the true complexity emerges. We taste and smell bourbon chocolate chip cookie dough, bourbon vanilla ice cream, tootsie rolls, and smooth chocolate syrup.
The vanilla addition serves to soften the bourbon and chocolate character of the base beer making the whole presentation more confectionary and decadent like chocolate vanilla syrup.

Rated at Ryyppyliiteri. Smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some vanilla beans, syrup, oak and hints of fish sauce. Soft and quite mellow. Okay.
Creamy, sweet, boozy, vanilla and chocolate, some coffee. Smooth, very nice.

Bottle shared at Pink Flamingo tasting. Black, almost no head. Massive vanilla, molasses, toffee, milk chocolate, boozy, blackberries. Very sweet, medium bitter. Thick sugary body. Massive, like old school BA Dark Lord.

Shared at Palace Hall, Malmö March 2024 tasting (23/03/2024) - dark sweet roasted malty with lots of opulent chocolate, caramel and toffee like sticky malty sweetness, full bodied, bourbon and vanilla accents into the dark malty finish. Gorgeous stuff.

2023 500mL white wax bottle drunk 2/10/24. Thanks to Chalumeaux. Viscous motor oil. No head. Clear. Spicy, rich, dense vanilla, gentle bourbon and rich chocolate maltiness with light caramel and no booze. Bit of banana amyl in there? Very dense but nothing aggressive at all. Very aromatic. Thick, rich, fluffy, syrupy. Sweet but drying out with spicy vanilla, bakers chocolate and bourbon spice. So frickin mellow. Say what you will about TH, but this is a properly aged Imperial Stout that tastes perfect three months after bottling, unlike most breweries where the beer comes out hot as hell and needs at least six months more aging in the bottle. Lotta vanilla, lotta spice, lotta malt, nicely dry.
Winter 2023 aroma is chocolate, vanilla, bourbon. Taste is nice, viscous, thick. This is so good.
Taster from Bottle, at a share in Oslo. Almost Black with little head. Roasted malts, oak, Chocolate, vanilla, thick, sweetness.

12 oz. bottle shared by Chalumeaux, thanks! Aroma is oak, strong vanilla, roast. Flavor is sooooo smooth with all the elements working together in harmony. Vanilla, chocolate, oak, mild bourbon and the ABV is totally hidden. A near perfect Imperial stout! Pretty much the most perfect beer I’ve had in a long time.
