Day Two of the Great Chris Meyer/Aaron Nielsen Franconian Beer Tasting in Schlitz. Prost! A bit hazyk, golden yellow appearance with a white head. Lemon spritz, Lemonhead, tangy, yeasty aroma. A bit tart lemon, powerful fruity yeasty, somewhat floral, delicious flavor. Nice stuff.

Buegelverschlussflasche: Pale golden to gplden, hazy, mid-sized craemy white head with a little lace; moderate pale-malty nose with a very solid herbal hoppy background; light to mediium bodied. really soft, solid bitter and sweet flavour; lingering - extremely smooth - bitter-sweet finish with a slight hoppy fruitiness underneath. A real great franconian Bier.....

(swing top bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond and large foamy head. Bready malty taste with notes of biscuits, as well as citric and spicy herbal hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Biscuity malty taste with a distinctively fruity and delicately herbal hops character; medium-dry rounded malty and hoppy finish. Pleasant Zwickel-Pils. 26.VIII.11
