Edition 2019: strange beer: nose starts with caramel and vanilla, taste ist quite sour, a little bit of vinegar und tomato paste.

(swing top bottle) Hazy, reddish amber colour with a beige and medium-sized foamy head. Mildly toasted malty and yeasty aroma with fruity notes of dark and red berries, hints of booze in the background. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Slightly toast-malty with berry-fruity notes, shades of herbal, spicy hops in the background, booze shows up during the sweet finish. Not really convincing. 11.XII.17

Probier Bamber 2016. Dark red, golden lace. Berry sweet sticky/molassis nose, a hint butter. Medium full sticky body, grassy bitterness. Not the right balance for me.

Hazy dark amber with little white head. Aroma is is cherry pips, cherry, caramel, some spices. Taste is almost watery, little sweetness and sourness. Some sharp finish of more sourness and sweetness. Not so smooth, still nice.

Bottle. Aroma is sulphuric, berries, malty. Taste is sweetish berries, malty, toffee, caramel, a bit nutty. Oily mouthfeel. Okay, nothing special.

Karamellig süßer Antrunk, geringe Herbe. Weich, röstig malzig, was sich gut in das Gesamtbild einfügt. Steigende Intensität, dennoch bleibt das Bier süffig. Noten von Zimt zum Ende. 11/12/12/9/10/10

Bügelverschlußflasche(750ml): Ruby-amber coloured, hazy, stable and creamy off-white head; sweetish fruity and caramelly nose, some "esrthy" hops in the background, some nutty traces as well; nesrly moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and soft; nutty traces again in the soft bitter-sweet hoppy a caramelly finish.
