After Oak is an elegant moreish barrel aged wild ale, balancing oak tannins with floral and melon aromas. Notes of orange oil and pithy grapefruit bitterness and just the right amount of acidity to give a clean drinkability. A beautiful, complex oaky Belgian style beer.

Pours hazed blonde, Small to no white head. Scent is fruity, oak is hidden. Taste is full, tart, mild oak. Lactic acid. A bit sweaty. Apple funk.

Bottle @ Belgian Summer Gathering Sept' 21, Evergem. No BB.
Dorée, col fin blanc.
Arôme est fin fruité sur qcq notes agrumes voire abricot et pêche, barrique plus en rétro pour un côté boisé frais. Retrouve un caractère malté belge pâle, léger pils.
Palais garde une approche 'sour' versant vers un jeune lambic, boisé modéré avec une petite note florale tout en gardant une approche belge - le tout passe, néanmoins, pour une bière un peu trop vieille.

11/IX/21 - 75cl bottle @ BBGG Summer Edition (Klaas & Liesbeth's place), BB: n/a (2021-1008) Thanks to nathanvc for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy orange beer, small creamy bit irregular beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: funky, sourish, nice stuff, clean acidity, lemony impression, good complexity. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: tequila, rather sweet, fruity, banana, very yeasty, soft acidity. Aftertaste: bitter, funky, some tannins.
