Bottle shared at Doug's Christmas tasting. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head, light lacing. Woody, chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, maple syrup. Very good.

35,5 cl can @ Hatanpää tasting room Aroma has sweet berries, fruits and some sugary notes. Flavour has alcohol, licorice, some woody tones, sweet berries and fruits. Good slow sipper.

Bottle. Kindly split by SirAlex. Thanks. Pours nearly black with a small head. Deep and vinous barrel notes. Dark fruit, wood, vanilla. Pleasant warmth. Chewy malts. Long linger. Amazing balance.

375ml bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is bourbon barrel vanilla coffee rich roast and some sweet malts. Taste is more of the nice bourbon barrel upfront chocolate pitfruit coffee vanilla.

Bottle shared with the team. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, intoxicating vanilla, coconut, creamy, boozy bourbon, toffee, fudgey, creamy, sugary, tangy dried fruits, raisin, sultana and earth. The taste is dry, bitter- sweet, toothy, chewy, toffee fudge, dark roasted malt, bourbon soaked oak, green coconut, roasty, toasty, umami, spice, cacao, warming spice and umami with a dry, toasty finish. Fulsome body and fine carbonation. Plenty to enjoy, perhaps more roasted vibes than I would expect from a traditional barley wine, but fun stuff nonethey.

Bottle shared at Ghost Whale Brixton. Pours black with a dirty tan head. Aroma is caramel, boozy dried fruits, molasses, bourbon comes through. Taste is boozy dried fruit, caramel, boozy bourbon, molasses, hint of cocoa. Nice boozy burn on the finish but superbly well balanced and loads of bourbon character. Definitely one of the best barley wines I've tried.

ABV: 15.5%. Clear medium to dark brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted - roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, rich, dark fruit, barrel - vanilla, alcohol - bourbon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, barrel, rich, vanilla - barrel, bourbon, dark fruit, rich - heavy. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy - smooth, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20220528]

Bottle, shared by John - thanks! Pours inky mahogany, minimal beige head, minimal lacing. Aroma is rich malty vanilla chocolate bourbon, rich, balanced. Flavor is way sweet, light bitter. Medium plus body.
