Deep brown to black, moderate head, weak lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate. Light body. Thin textute. Almost watery. Tastes sweet with some bitter note of chocolate & hops.Faint finish with a hint of dryness. Decent but nothing special.

BOTTLE 50 CL fro, SharkyDodson. An unusually small head with a poor retention (must be the extra of, s from the oats). The aroma is a pleasant warm black unsweetened chocolate, coffee beans and touch of sweetness. The flavour is similar, dry, but somewhat flat and way too astringent, reminiscent of young homemade wines. The finish is moderately bitter with some ashes. Decent.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey and Refaela’s place. Thanks Stas. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark bread and a bit of roast. Sweet flavor with caramel, light roast, dark bread, toastiness, a chocolate hint and a drier and slightly more roasty finish. Medium-bodied. Tastes more like a Dunkel or a Schwarzbier.
