Can shared. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, light coffee, soft roast, hazelnut notes and some chocolate notes. Flavor is similar: malts, hazelnut, milk chocolate, some sweetness and some bitterness. On second thought, probably no coffee in there in the end. Quite sweet in the end. Okay.

Can from Brother Beer. Black with a lasting brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dried fruit and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 090721

Can at home. Pours black, nose is dark chocolate, roasted, coffee, grainy, taste is sweet toffee, chocolate, roasted coffee, solvent.

Can from the brewery online shop. Pours jet black with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate, light roast. Lots of dark chocolate on the taste, premium cocoa. Dry bitter finish.

Can thanks to the brewery. Appearance - deep dark brown to black with a fawn head. Nose - cocoa and dark chocolate. Light, roasty edge. Taste - same again. Roasty finish after dark rich chocolate. Palate - rich and full bodied. Roasty finish. Overall - very nice.
