You’re holding an original, boundary-pushing lager. This is a big Baltic Porter that might remind you of an Imperial Stout with noticeable sweetness, balanced by roasted malt and hop bitterness. A lengthy conditioning creates a smooth, chocolaty mouthfeel enhanced by brown sugar.

355ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and caramel malty aroma, notes of dark toffee, cocoa, dark caramel, some coffee surrogate. Taste is roasty, dark malty and slightly caramel malty with some residual sweetness, bitter hoppy and minimally spicy, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, some toffee, dark caramel, coffee, coffee surrogate, a touch of burnt caramel, toasted nuts; well hidden alcohol.
Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation.
Nice and harmonious composition, wide spectrum of well integrated, balanced, (dark) malty flavours - good!
