Pliny the Younger, the man, was Pliny the Elder’s nephew and adopted son. They lived nearly 2,000 years ago! Pliny the Elder is our Double IPA, so we felt it was fitting to name our Triple IPA after his son. It is almost a true Triple IPA with triple the amount of hops as a regular I.P.A. That said, it is extremely difficult, time and space consuming, and very expensive to make. And that is why we don’t make it more often! This beer is very full-bodied with tons of hop character in the nose and throughout. It is also deceptively well-balanced and smooth.

Looks unassuming. Thin white head, a bit orangey yellow, almost completely clear, low carbonation. Hoppy, fruity, softly bitter, a bit boozy. Sappy and piney, a bit grassy, some caramelly maltiness. Strong yet smooth, rich, finishes dry. Delicious.

On tap at Isaac Newton’s in Newtown, PA. 10.2% ABV. Finally, at long last, I have landed this legendary brew! Bright, honey gold pour. Brief white head reduces to a small ring. Fragrant, bold citrus aroma is redolent of tangerine, lime, grapefruit and apricot. Big and boozy, as expected. Clean and crisp throughout. Black pepper notes on the backend. Slightly sticky palate in the long, bitter finish. Amazing!

Clean, a smidgen of bitterness. Floral, fruity. A lovely, boozy nose. Just top drawer. Look forward to this every year! Glad I don’t have to venture to Monks in the city to get.

Wildly smooth and clean for a TIPA. Nicely hopped. Crisp. Quite boozy.

1 pint bottle, bottled 03/22/22, shared by Rob, many thanks! Golden, clear body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, earth, passion fruit, biscuit, pine, resin, slight alcohol. Tastes pretty similar. Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation. Finishes warm, medium bitter, moderate sweet, zesty, a bit piney, with some tropical fruits, biscuit. Very tasty. Classic west coast TIPA, very well balanced, not too heavy or alcoholic for the ABV. The character isn't that different to the Elder, just a bit more sweet body. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 5 / 17

0,5l(?) bottle at home shared by Rob, big thanks. Vintage 2022. Golden clear color, small white head. Smells caramel, pines, peppery, earthy, nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes of pines, earthy, peppery, flowery, hops. Finishes light to medium bitter with notes of pines, peppery and hoppy notes. I usually dont like TIPAs, but this is very nice, ABV also not noticeable.

HUGE THANKS to Wayne for sending me a bottle after lining up for a few hours! Taster showing pale to deep gold with a half a finger of clean white foam.

The nose shows intense notes of ripe mango, kiwi, and light hints of pine and cannabis.

The palate is well carbonated and light to medium bodied with a light waxy mouthfeel. Pine forward with a balanced malt backbone and balanced but sharp pine bitterness on the finish that seems to extend into a pilsner-like bitterness.

Great!!! One of the best and most balanced triple IPA's out there. Dangerously drinkable. 10%abv is well hidden. Thanks Jason for driving 7 hours and waiting 4 hours in line to bring this beer to Belgium.
