Santa knows who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. This is one seriously naughty but nice beer.
Santa’s Little Helper, our Imperial Stout, starts with an emphasis on dark cocoa and roasted coffee aromatics. The finish lends hints of sweet crystal malt, warming tones of alcohol and a touch of hops, making a perfect accompaniment to leftover fruit cake and sugar cookies.

BL z wczoraj. Niby dobry, stoutowy taki bardziej, tyle ze ta przyprawowosc w nim imho nie zagrala i do tego malo ciala. Nijak fanem nie zostane, ale zle wcale nie jest :)

Pour is motor oil sludge black with a large tan head. Aroma is a deep roast with some vanilla and alcohol. Flavor is thick roasted malt with some milk chocolate and vanilla some bakers chocolate is left on the tongue. Decent Impy stout with just the right amount of char malt and flavorful adjuncts.

Bottle at Fermentoren. Pours pitch black with a dark brown thick head. Aromas of coffee roast, molasses, dates, raisins, some light chocolate. Taste is pretty sweet up front, lots of light chocolate, dates, raisins, dark sweet fruits. Dark bitter chocolate and coffee roast finish.

Bottle shared @ jbrus’s place. Pure chocolate and cacao powder in the aroma. Pure chocolate, coffee and oily hops in the flavor, the latter lingering on in the aftertaste. Delicious and well balanced. Re-rate 2008 bottle. Pitch black and opague. Coffee and milk chocolate in the aroma. Creamy roasty bitter flavor with coffee, anis and dark chocolate. Roastbitter finish with some berries. Laurel. Huge beer, but the alcohol is fairly well hidden.

Dark brown, almost black, minimal brown head. Aroma is intensive dark chocolate, ash, raisin, molasses, a bit of green hops. Medium sweetness, light bitterness from roasted malt. Medium carbonation, higher than it's usual. Does not feel too heavy. Solid.

Don't know the brewer, don't know the beer but I do like imperial stouts, enough said. Acquired in California, brought home to Texas, the 12 oz bottle will be consumed tonight. I open and pour into my ABGB snifter, black, yes it is black, with a thin light brown crown of foam. Fragrant, I detect strawberry, wheat, something sweet. But the taste will abide. My my, very nice. Baker's chocolate, berry, baked bread, brown sugar and black licorice. Bitter but not a whole new chapter. Wish I had bought two, certainly next time.
