No Backsies is a Hefeweizen. This golden wheat beer gives well balanced notes of clove and banana and was brewed according to century old German brewing techniques.

Deep fairly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a nice subtle haze, around 40 per cent opaque, all with a pleasant, one to two centimetre pure white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of nice wheat, light yeast, a dash of cardamom and coriander seed with a crisp lemony and cleanser scent that is nice and robust. Light to Medium-bodied; Rich wheat and slightly biscuity malt flavours show through everything with a bright and noticeable aniseed and banana flavour with a lot of body for the wheats and a good deal of flavours too, considering how easy-drinking this is. Aftertaste is dry, pretty floral and perfumey with a lot of the wheat providing the body that supports the cleanser-like note with some lemons and bananas - very nice and robust for being a lighter beer. Overall, a very enjoyable german wheat with the unfiltered qualities bringing out more of the yeast esters and a pungent banana bite, but the rest of the flavours add complexity make this worth trying to find, especially in the summertime! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Bailey's Crossroads (Falls Church), Virginia on 24-April-2021 for US$2,75 sampled at my house here in Washington on 21-October-2021.
