2014 feiert Miesbach 900 Jahre Markt Miesbach.

Bottled 500ml. -from Rudat Dortmund. Muddy brown coloured, medium sized creamy pale beige head, distinct banana in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, slight acidic fruity and pretty strong banana presence with sweet (slightly sticky) fruity finish. Alcohol well hidden. Really tasty weizen.

500ml bottle. Hazy mahogany colour with huge, frothy, fully lasting, beige head. Intense, sweet-ish malty, bready aroma, notes of banana, treacle, clove, orange zest, spicy, yeasty overtones with a peppery touch, some nutmeg and mustard seed. Taste is moderately sweet bready malty, notes of banana, baked banana, some clove, soy sauce; mushy texture, chewy palate.

Many thanks for this bottle to MoritzF & Pivnizub. Nice aroma with a dark brown color. Very tasty for a style I don’t try very often. Good beer.

(bottle) Hazy, murky brown colour with a beige and firm foamy head. Toasty malty and mildly wheaty aroma with notes of candied fruits, caramel, clovy spice and shades of alcohol. Sweet and delicately sour flavour, quite full bodied with a smooth and well-matured carbonation. Mildly toasty malty and caramelly taste with wheat-malt presence and an almost complex fruit character with notes candied berries, banana, getting almost a bit vinous towards the sweet and slightly sour finish with a warming, non-disturbing alcoholic touch. Well-crafted Weizenbock, just a tad too far on the sweet side for my personal taste. 18.VIII.14

50cl bottle, BB 04.11.14 Dark in the glass, beige head. The beer starts smooth, yeasty. The mainpart is not too sweet, very smooth-malty with a nice yeasty undertone. Even a bit caramel. The aftertaste is smooth, warming without being sharp, Malzbonbon without being too sweet, yeasty-smooth.
Very easy to drink, but not as complex as it could be. Nice!
