Szépen habzó, kissé halvány aranyszín. Erős közepes ízű lager. Signicant head, a bit too pale, correct lager fragrance and taste. Quite correct beer.

Teljesen vállalható! Szénás, meg van az urtyp bukéja, Béla szerint Marzenes, de csak a Zipfer, a többi urtyp az marad parasztos.

The bottle I have is labelled "Zipfer" and underneath "Ein Glas Heller Freude". More of a helles than a pale lager. Pale yellow color with thin head, grassy aroma and slight bitter hay in the flavor. This is a good summer quaff. Really enjoying this one.

Nothing special about it, but nice to drink, at least it was refreshing on a hot night. Test of 24.07.2005.

500ml can from Wienna shop. Coz lepsze od wersji medium, szkoda ze w inerenetowym sklepie ta wersja dostepna byla tylko puszkowa, przyplacilem brakiem etykiety. Piana spora, srednia chmielnosc, metaliczny posmak.

Drank in November 2008: Third and final lager in my lager reviewing evening, won hands down against the other two (Quilmes from Argentina and Casablanca from Morroco). Zipfer Original on the label. 330ml brown bottle, poured into one of my Veltins Pilsner stemmed glasses. It looked very good, deep golden yellow with a large white head which stayed through the drink. No aroma worthy of note, gets my standard lager 3 for smell. Crisp, sharp and tangy, a good lager feel and taste to it. Glad I had it last of the three beers in the tasting, it was a lot better than the others. I remember trying it at a Bier Borse in Germany many years ago, it was good then too.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is some grain and grass. Flavor is abotu the same. Watery grain and a bit of grassy hop. This beer is made from drinking alot of. It’s not bad but mildly sessionable.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours lightly cloudy gold with a slight creamy white head. To me the aroma is like light lemon grass. Near med body. Flavor is bready, with some bitter. Bitter is kind of unusual - could be herb/grass, but I’m not really getting a hint of spice. Finishes fairly dry. Better than many East Euro lagers, but this is from Austria, so maybe not a surprise.

Yellow colour with a white head. Medium fruity and sweet nose. Moderate sweet malt flavour with a fresh hoppiness.

Bottled, 0.5l. Clear pale yellow color with massive frothy white head and lively carbonation. Malty aroma with hints of fruity hops, unfortunatelly of detergent, too. Sweet and sour malty start, followed by citrus notes. Mouthfeel is still relatively plain, while aftertaste is quite hoppy. Medium bodied, thin texture and average carbonation.
