Slightly unclear dark amber colour, tall frothy off-white head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma pale malts, light caramel, pomelo, mango, pineapple, some pine. Taste medium sweet and light to medium bitter, malty, grainy, fruity, grassy. Sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity and herbal notes, ends rather abrupt. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, smooth and well-balanced.

Bottle. Hazy dark orange color with white head. Aroma is resinous, piney, toffee, spruce. Taste is toffee, resinous, peach, grapefruit. Heavily bitter finish. Silky mouthfeel, medium soft carbonation. Nice, but I can’t really detect that it’s bottom fermented.

Bottle at home on 14th Sep 2016: poured into a Chimay chalice and it suited it. Misty terracotta in colour, full off-white blanket sat on top. Piney hops ruled the aroma and taste, this is hop bitter in nature and very easy to drink. Got to say if this had been at a blind tasting I would have gone for a West Coast Double IPA from California. Fruity notes arrive as it warms a little, both in the aroma and taste, still bitter though. Liked it.
