Sweetish, slightly earthy with some berries, burnt rubber, oak, toffee and raisins, hints of prunes and figs. A bit unbalanced

Bottle shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Opaque, virtually black, dark brown with nice viscosity, ring of head and lacing. Aroma is strong peaty malt, bourbon. Taste is mix of peaty malt, oak, dark fruit, bourbon, all in good balance. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. A lot to like here, but there's something holding me back from loving this.

Thanks ClarkVV on the 375 ml bottle share, much thanks! Aroma has mild grape, spicy Woodford Reserve bourbon. Flavor of mild wood, brown sugar, raisin. Big bold malt profile, soft bourbon finish. This is nice!

375mL bottle, undated, drunk 11/22/24. Clear, dark cola. Smattering of beige head. Candi sugar, light oxidation, black pepper and a hint of round wine. No booze. Rather bready malt-wise. Juicy, sweet, rich, malty, lots of plum, chocolate and vanilla. Very mild Belgian character but the pepper is there and light pencil shavings. Rich and malty but balanced and attenuated. A nice changeup from the 99% barley wine and stout BA world. Lingering tannin and fruity ester.
