Bottle shared in Hazlemere - cheers to SHIG. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour, sugary, dark malts, aged berries. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more hearty dark malts, brown sugar. Not bad.

Glad I had frayja first so I can appreciate the barrel in this even more, still upfront but wrapped in Belgian esters and spices, some cloves and plums, the barrel carries a lot otherwise the belgian notes aren't as packed as expected.

Waxed and capped 375 from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight tan head. Aroma of mixed dark fruits, not to exclude plums. Full bodied IMO. Flavor is slightly sweet mixed dark fruits, with plums, and almost burnt/toasted malt. Not quite there so it has a smooth flavor akin to barleywine malt. Not dry. Heat seems the main malt antagonist. And the heat is not at all annoying. Just excellent.
