Tap at Quintessence. Clear golden, white head. Crisp bready malts, light floral, doughy, fresh grassy hops.edium sweet, light bitter. Crisp slick medium body. Best helles outside of Germany I've ever had.

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Nicely grassy noble hops with grainy malt, straw, crisp hoppy finish. Moderate bitter, low on sweetness, dry finale. Medium body. Really pleasant Helles, wish this was a tall can.

Pours cloudy yellow. Big and stable white head. Scent is soft, malty, silent on hops and yeast. Taste is lighter than expected. Even a touch low in PH , it seems. Not as creamy / malt bursting as I expected from a Helles, quite high carbo, too. It's not exactly right for me, and it doesn't really seems to work in general. Early infection ?

Draught Medium to good off-white head, very lacey, over veiled orangey ochre beer. Watercolour paint, faint white pepper, soft tobacco, ginger-y. Citrus, straw, Szechuan pepper with a really bitter (spicy) finish. Pure grapefruitpeel. Medium bodied at best, quite slick, but clean at the same time. Long lasting bitterness. In truth, just a tad too bitter for a real Helles. But it makes for a great beer...

Can, amber colour, white foam. Rather bitter for a Helles, bready, grassy, some citrus.

Can from Malt Attacks, Brussels, at home, 17th February 23. Pours an orange golden, nice white frothy head. Aroma is grass and hay. Taste is full, grassy, straw and hay, malty, great depth and a good interpretation of the style, bitter and mellow finish. No idea what the last rater was tasting, it’s not sweet.
