nice label, pale yellow colour, decent head. I don’t like the taste, however. I thought it tasted like bitter carbonated water. Very watery, just bitter, no malty or pleasant hoppy flavours to detect.

Canned. Pale golden, minimal head. Aroma of grass and hay. Dry and lightlyoily with ruonded mouthfeel and rather light body. Lightly salty finish. Typical quaffable Czech session pilsener.

Bottle: Golden coloured, thin, firm white foam; cardboardy-malty nose with a faint "papery" bitterness; weak, but detectable sweet-bitter flavour, hardly detectable malty body...;short and light bitter-sweet finish. A disappointing Bohemian Pilsener, made of the cheapest ingredients.........

First ratingDraught at Pizzeria Aria in Prague, May 2006. The label of the tap said "Radegast Original Premium Lezak Svetle Pivo"... Dark amber color, small but lasting white head. Fresh a little bit malty scent. Butterscotch dominating the taste. Medium to high bitterness. High CO2 level. Bitter aftertaste.7/3/7/3/13=3.3Second ratingAs "Radegast 12 degrees"(Draught in Prague)Clear golden color, white head. Sweet malty taste. Sweet malty scent. A bit thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.6/3/6/2/11=2.8

Medium white head over light copper body. Light, grainy, hoppy aroma with notes of metal. Light taste of grain and butter, with a bitter, metallic aftertaste. Well. Didn’t really enjoy this one much.

Draft, at the Maple Tree Inn Certainly well presented in the glass: Golden pils color, thin head, etc. Smell is that decently malty "beer" smell those of us raised on pale lagers come to expect. A decent base Bohemian hop character that is mostly bitterness without any other great distinction. This probably would taste much better closer to its home, but as it is, it’s a nice beer I wouldn’t be ashamed to serve.

Bottle. Roasted malt aroma. Medium yellow color with small head. Sweet-sour malt taste with a light hops finish. Maybe a bit too sweet for some but I really like this beer - very pleasant with a nice balanced flavor.

Can, close to best before Golden low head. Dusty fading hops, spongy malt. I think it was past its prime, I guess I have to go to the Czech Rep. and try it fresh.... Surprisingly full body considering the strength. Milk aftertaste.
