Had this from the keg @ in de Wildeman, a few months ago. Colour is hazy orange/pale yellow. Aroma is nutty, malty, grassy/hoppy. Taste is soft, malty and bitter, bitter finish. Very nice kellerbier.

(7/2/08) Draught at the brewpub in Merkendorf. Served in a ceramic mug. Aroma is a bit earthy and quite malty. Malty flavor with some caramel and hints of butterscotch. Medium-bodied.

(Draught, unfiltered, by gravity at Akkurat, Stockholm, 9 Oct 2007) Pale amber colour with big, airy white head. Malty nose with dark fruit and grain. Malty, grainy taste with notes of dried fruit and spicy hops in the finish. Nice and tasty.

Bottle from REWE, Bamberg. Pale gold colour, slightly cloudy with a decent white head. Aroma of grassy hops and herbs. Flavour was slightly sweet with a decent dry finish. Very good.

Bottled. Copperish colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is grass, earth and a bit malts and hops. Flavour is refreshing of malts, hops and some earthy notes.

Bottled
Pale amber color, small white head. Sweetish, a bit cellary aroma. Sweetish, malty, a bit hayish flavor, stylish cellary beer. Good example of this style.

Tap @ brewerypub, Merkendorfer. Clear, amber color with a foamy, slightly off-white medium head. Sweet toasted malt, woody aroma with honey, citrus, orange and notes of hops. Malty, fruity toffee flavour followed by a long, nutty bitterness.

Bottle (bought at the brewery): Deep golden coloured, small foamy layer; grainy-malty nose with a touch of floral hops; strong bitter-sweet flavour, soft MF; sweet-bitter, a bit caramelly finish, dry bitter aftertaste. A well hopped, very pleasant Kellerbier !

(from the tap at the brewery) Clear, amber colour with a foamy, slightly off-white medium head. Sweet toasted malt, woody aroma with honey, citrus, orange and a tinge of hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium body, smooth carbonation. Nutty and slightly fruity malty taste, dry, lingering bitter and herbal hoppy finish. Very good (17.06.06).

(Bottle) Brass coloured and hazy with a thick head. Smooth, buttery toffee aroma. Malty, fruity toffee flavour followed by a long, nutty bitterness.
