A wholesome best bitter designed to be true to this iconic beer style, with only a few respectful tweaks. Expect biscuit and caramel flavours from our malts, balanced by English hops with grassy, herbal and citrus notes and refreshing bitterness. Everything is lifted by just a touch of Cascade in the dry-hop.

Copper with a tall tan head. Biscuit malts, lightly fruity, toffee, earth, grass. Finishes with more toasted biscuits and a grassy dry profile. Medium bodied. Enjoyable.

Golden amber with a bubbly / frothy off-white head and malt and floral hops on the nose. Mellow caramel and fruit malt with plenty of old school hop bitterness, could easily be from the early 80s, finishes dry and bitter and is a very decent example of the style.

Can. Aroma: a little sweet, caramel, cookies, a little jam. Taste: malty, caramel, biscuit, earthy bitterness, a little fruity, well, it seems not bad.

Nitro can from Beer52's Siren 10th Anniversary box. Clear amber brown with big old off white head. Sweet bready and grassy aroma with some cookie dough and light spice. Nice smooth mouthfeel with a soft prickly carbonation. Taste of sweetish malts with toast and brioche and a semi-drying grassy-herbal-light citric hopping. Excellent for a bitter.

Can from the brewery online shop. Nitro pour clear copper with a creamy off-white head. Aromas of biscuit and red fruit. Taste is light bitter. Not bad for the strength.

Can. A mild haze on this deep amber beer, decent bubbly cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thinnish malts, a light creamy sweetness. Light and well integrated caramel and toffee. Ripe citrus. Marmalade. Light cooling pine. Light and fairy dry finish. Decent bitter, a good rounded flavour profile, perhaps a bit in the shadow of the very good Adnams rye beer that preceded this one.
