Cask at The Flying Standard, Coventry. Clear amber with small beige head. Not sure if its my taste buds or the condition of this but was not a great fan. Has a standard malt and toffee. Its quite bitter with a herbal edge almost towards mint but I found it very metallic, almost like drinking a Stella. Strange.

Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours the classic “bitter brown” with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is just some vague maltiness. A bit more flavour in the mouth, with traditional hops, toffee and biscuits plus an underlying caramel base. Some bitterness in the slightly dry finish. This is decent and full bodied.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A bright amber pour with a scummy looking cream head; malty aroma; rather thin in the mouth at first with a toffee malt taste, then expanding into a drier biscuity body with a spicy bitterness; before a jammy fruity finish. A nicely put together ESB.
