Small, if reasonably stable, just off-white head over veiled orangey golden beer. Very strange, if original fruity nose, citrus-like, faint vegetal frying oil. Some faint mocha hint, immediately going over into exotic fruit (papaya? - of course the berries). Good balance. Light body, refreshing; medium to good carbonation. Nice! But - while it displays cascara berries all over the label, then why aren't they included in the triple language ingredients' list? Txs to Stef!

Pours a clear, medium colored blonde. Small white head much slower than the cascara version. Scent is much less 'coffee' (obviously) than the coffee version. aromatic, dry herbal berry side . Taste is tart, lactic acid mostly. Medium body, fairly dry. Medium to medium high carbo. Has got some 'dark' flavors by the cascara, yet they remain subtile. herbal, dry notes from the cascara. Very malty finish. Decent beer !

21 August 2021. At Gents Bierfestival. Cheers to the Ghent beer crew! Hazy golden, stable, foamy, white head. Aroma of gooseberry, juniper, kiwi, yellow apple, citrus zest. Taste has sour gooseberry, quince, apple & plum; bready malt body with yeasty & herbal notes. Earthy hoppy finish, vague coffee bean popping up, rather tart, citrusy. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Decent but doesn't really stand out for me - certainly not among Galea's other beers.

Bottle sample during Gents Bierfestival '21 - shared with Tderoeck and Nathan.

21/VIII/21 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Gents Bierfestival (Gent), BB: n/a (2021-918)
Clear blond to gold beer, small creamy white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of yellow summer fruit, bit funky, floral, citrus, bit of a sourish impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, quite some tropical fruits, bit lemony, fruity finish. Aftertaste: sweet, sourish, fruity, quite some pineapple notes, nice acidity, not getting much coffee though? (In retrospect, it turned out we had the Berry & Bean Cascara Sour, and not the Bean & Berry Coffee Sour, due to a wrong name on the beer list of the festival.)
