Straight from the bottle. Another disappointing offering from the region, dusty old grain sweetness with no balance or rounding bitterness

500ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish, faint golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, snow white head. Sweet-ish, grainy, malty aroma with a touch of mushy peas, cereals. Taste is grainy, strawy, pale malty, minimally bitter hoppy, slightly papery, strange hints of mushy peas again, some cardboard.
Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
A bit weird, almost veggie, no Pils character in any sense - barely enjoyable.

Bottle - Light grains and a touch of vegetal notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Light grains and some dusty notes.

500mL bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grassy notes, with a touch of herbal quality and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of grassy notes upfront and crisp crackery malt. Very simple, but clean and competently made. Average stuff, but it's fine -- better than 17th percentile IMO.

Golden. The aroma is the usual minty, grassy hop extract nose you get from German regional brews. Moderately bitter, hop extract taste with some mellow pale malts. Pretty much your average for this type of beer from Germany.

From tap at a restaurant in Kaiserslautern. Clear golden color with white head. Malty aroma, grainy, straw, some honey notes. Sweet and light bitter taste. Light to medium almost oily body with soft carbonation.

[backlog] 25-05-16 // on tap at Krokodil, Mainz. Not a good pilsener, no bitterness. Only grains and malts. And water.

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Nasty aroma with notes of vegetables, mainly peas. Starts dry-malty, more and more metallically, bitter background. Finish could be more balanced. Not good!
