This beer contains a 60/40 blend of golden sour ale fermented with our Goat Wizard house culture which was aged for three months in stainless. This was blended with a golden sour ale aged in oak wine barrels for two years, originally brewed by our friends at Fierce Brewing in Aberdeen.

The blended beer was refermented and aged on 300g/l of whole Scottish raspberries (Cascade varietal) from Pittormie Fruit Farm, located seven miles from the brewery.

375ml bottle sophiesbeerstore.co.uk. Hazed pinkish red appearance, small white foam atop. Aroma of fresh raspberries and assorted red berries. Good crisp wild impressions on first sip, tart raspberry with a noticeable oak influence. Very good.

Medium cloudy red body and modest foam. Excellent fresh fermented raspberry aroma. Taste is very good gueuze raspberry, fresh, and an odd film on the finish. Not bad, very good potential.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours hazy bright red with a decent medium pink white head. The aroma is bright, juicy, vibrant, jammy raspberry, sherbet, dib dab, candy, lime, pomegranate and candy. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, zingy, puckering, bright raspberry, minerality, sherbet dib dab, chalky, then it really dries up, tannin, oak, ashy, charred, toothy, pomegranate, candy, lactic and granny smith with a drying, chalky finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Up front it's great and fruity, then it gets very dry and chalky. Ok, but a mixed bag.
