Our Unfiltered British Lager is influenced by the Bavarian Helles style, but just like all Utopian Beers, it has been brewed solely with the finest, British grown malted barley and hops. A slow, low temperature fermentation followed by a long cold conditioning, gives this lager a crisp, clean finish whilst allowing all the wonderful flavours from the malt and hops to fully develop and shine. This unfiltered version of our signature lager is still light in colour with a slight haze from retained yeast which provides a greater depth of flavour than its filtered sibling.

On tap at Ebenezerโs, Crewe. Pours a pale greenish yellow with a small white head. Has an aroma of bread and corn. In the mouth it is crisp and sharp. Some slight sweetness with grains, biscuits, lemongrass, zest and hints of spices. Finish is slightly sweet. This is excellent โ one of the best and tastiest lagers I have ever tasted.

Can from HoTM. It pours lightly hazy yellow with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, bready malts, cereal, rich tea biscuit, sweet doughy vibes, freshly baked bagel, grass and some orchard fruits. The taste is crisp, firmly dry and bitter upfront, biscuit, doughy white bread, grass, floral vibes, peppery spice, twist of lemon and orchard fruits with a dry, fruity finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice depth to it. Fruity and moreish.

Not as crisp as the filtered version, but malt is more prominent. Equally good.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours totally clear pale yellow with a small, foamy, pure white head. Lightly sweet, with pleasant pale biscuits, very mild bitterness, nips of straw, white bread. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty clean finish, more lightly sweet biscuity pale malt character, subtle bitter hay, crispy cereal. Highly drinkable. Solid.

440ml can from Premier Hop. Pours clear golden with a smidge of haze, white head. Aroma: bready malts, light citrus, straw. Taste: light sweet & bitter, clean, crisp, more bready malts, a little lemon citrus, light spicy. Light to medium body, soft carb, dry light bitter finish. I slightly preferred the filtered version but both are accomplished beers
