Tropical and bright with a full palate of flavor and a potency designed with moderation in mind, Jai Low IPA lowers the intensity of a typical India Pale Ale while maintaining the highest quality and hop flavor possible. All the qualities found in the finest IPAs, including citrus aromas and flavors, bread-like maltiness, and a moderate, snappy bitterness are found, making this beer a deceptively tempered addition to Cigar City Brewing’s line-up of hop-forward creations.

12oz can from Total Wine Mclean. Poured a golden color with a small white head. Aroma was big hops, very light malts. Flavor was muted, light tropcial fruits, with some mild oranges. Sessionable. Enjoyable enough, especially for the abv.

From a can this has way too many bitter hops for the alky content it carries. Comes across as bitter cabbage. Very vegetable all round. Drinking this is like drinking skunk cabbage coleslaw without the sugary dressing. Bitter, too bitter. I wish I was at least catching a little emotional variance, but no, its just super IPA bitter without the alky. Not sure about the desire for bitter pine spruce green grapefruit rinds, but there you have it. Well, on the plus side it seems to have some sizzling cutting carbonation clear to the last drop, which at least tries to veer from the bitter bastard taste. Hey, if you like the bitter ass taste of any really good IPA but not catching a buzz, you need to try this, its terribly on taste style. I assume its golden with a slight haze; didn't give it the honor of using a glass, hehehehehh.

Coriander, grass, caraway nose. Crystal clear amber, medium billowy head. Rye bread, crackers, grass. Medium body, easy carbonation, waxy mouthfeel. Quite savory, lots of substance for a session beer, not crazy about the flavor, but I like the crafting.

12oz can from the mixed pack. Light golden orange color with a modest white head. Nose is sweet citrus and lightly piney, some malty bits. Tastes clean and crisp with citrus and light pine. Sweet and modestly bitter. For a dialed back version of big brother this is spot on.

355 ml gusher can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4%, IBU 35. Orange colour, moderate white head. Dull aroma of malts and stale jam. The flavour is better, medium dry with notes of grapefruit and a sharp bitterness in the finish. Not a beer I'll buy again, though.
