Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a cloudy brown/reddish colour with small white head but nice retention and lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet light toasty malts, nuts, light floral notes. Taste of tea, nuts, caramel, light sourness, floral bitter hops. Near medium bodied, quite carbonated. Interesting certainly. A beer that grows on you.

Cask @ Riverside, in the town of Dunblane. Dark golden with a creamy head. Quite hoppy for me with caramels evident, not particularly brown ale in design other than towards that colour. Pretty good either way.

Clear brown colour with thin head. This is a great example of an ESB. Lots of malty notes. Brown rye bread and a sweet element of raisin. Slight roasted bitterness.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Appearance - deep amber to red. Off white, fluffy head. Nose - caramel, sweet cereal and brown bread. Taste - malt loaf and caramel again. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture. The finish is sweeter than ideal. Overall - ok.
