The light golden colour says refreshment but this not a bland beer. The aroma is complex with different members of the NVB team noting spicy, grapefruit, lemon, and pine aromas. BSA has good body with a hint of sweetness is well balanced by a robust bitter aftertaste.

Cask at Brewers Tap, Southsea. Light malty aroma. Copper gold. Thin creamy white head. Malty sweetness all the way. A hint of grains and nuts. Some light bitterness into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long muted finish. Way to sweet and sickly for me to be interested in sessioning this. When another beer gave me a real aftertaste I used what I had left of this like water to cleanse my palate.

Hand-pulled half-pint at The Pheasant Inn, Wellington Shropshire on 20th June 2019. Speckled white head on a clear golden body. Light citric aroma and taste, but rather bland and uninteresting, not much going on; subtle esters and flavours may have passed me by, but it didn't ring my bell.
