The light golden colour says refreshment but this not a bland beer. The aroma is complex with different members of the NVB team noting spicy, grapefruit, lemon, and pine aromas. BSA has good body with a hint of sweetness is well balanced by a robust bitter aftertaste.

Gravity cask at the Draymans Son, Ely. Gold, ever so slightly hazy. Small amount of foamy white head. Citrus and floral notes on the scent with hints of pear drops. Sweet and refreshing taste... there’s noticeable sulphur at first but this pretty much dies away with repeated drinking. Slight acrid bite in the finish. Honey and p ar in the finish. A mixed bag from Nene Valley.
