35,5 cl can @ Armonkallio, no BBE info. Thanks Timo & Jan! Aroma has well roasted malt, chocolate and alcohol. Flavour has chocolate, hayish tones, alcohol and malt. Odd floury palate. Too boozy and floury but decent anyway.

Pour is a dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt with dark fruit and dark bread. Flavor is plum and sugar covered figs with a hit of caramel malt and molasses. Finish is sweet and heavy with more sweet malt and dark fruit left on the tongue. No alcohol is felt. This may be one of the best doppelbocks I've ever had.

Good American doppelbock, full of the caramel, molasses, and roasted nut notes you want, with a dusting of cocoa and cinnamon underneath. Hint of bitterness on the finish adds an air of burnt sugar. Carbonation is lax, even for a doppel, but a nice pint nonetheless.

On tap at The Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano on 15th March 2019 (part of a Flight). Mahogany body, wispy beige head. Sweet malty brew, a typical Doppelbock in all aspects; they never seem to have the body depth their alcohol content should merit.
