Bottle. Pours copper with beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, some rubber. Flavor is sweet and bitter, sugar, malt, oak, rubber. Finish is sweet and malty. Overall: ok

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, ruby amber colour with a beige and mid-sized foamy head. Slightly toasted and dark malty aroma with notes of Blockmalz, and shades of vanilla. Mildly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Slightly toast-malty base with notes of caramel and vanilla; rather slim and toasty malty finish with very restrained hoppy notes. 25.IX.16

Fläschla (ottos mops hops fort):Deep ruby-amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized creamy tanned head; sweetish woody-peaty and caramelly nose, low bitterness in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium-bodied and soft; drier - as usual - caramelly-peaty and hoppy finish. Well crafted, unfortunately not my cup of tea...

Appearance: Dark amber colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Fruit, malt, caramel.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Hazy mahogant colour, small head. Vanilla aroma. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and vanilla. Low bitterness.

Dark amber with little tan head. Aroma is dried plums, licorice, smoke. Unpersonal taste, alittle bitter, even less sweet. Spicy as well. Overall nothing special.

Bottle. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is prunes, caramel, chocolate, slightly smoky. Taste is the same, a bit chalky, yeasty.

Bottle. Brown, creamy offwhite head. Fairly smoky, roasted. Dry, medium lightbody, minerally, slightly sour barrel notes, tinny thin. Needs more oomph.

Deutliche Eichennoten, frisch und das Malz in Teilen überlagernd. Das Malz bleibt auch im Mittelteil eher schwach, das Bier alkoholisch aber nicht vollmundig. Kurzer Nachhall. Da ist noch Platz für Korrekturen. 8/8/7/6/9/6
